Drawing Boston

On a recent Friday afternoon, editorial cartoonist Dan Wasserman sits behind his table at The Boston Globe. As he inks his work, he stops to grab white out and correct a minuscule detail in a letter “e.” He tosses the canister back onto his pile of tools, including an assortment of pens, and continues his piece.

Wasserman has been drawing for the Globe since 1985 and, while he took a buyout last year, he was hired back as a contributing cartoonist with use of his office to work.

“The idea is to experiment, try things, make mistakes, try it again,” he said.
